It is hard to describe how much this book impacted me. It was wonderfully written, and I felt like I really got the chance to meet the 17 people I prayed for, fasted for, lay awake in bed for, and cried tears over for 2 long months in fall 2021. I just knew they were my brothers and sisters in Christ, and I was one of thousands around the world who were banding together in prayer for them. The miracle of the hostages’ release in December 2021 was a huge booster for my faith. I watched God work a mighty act and perform an Acts 12 type miracle, before the eyes of the watching world. This book was like the icing on the cake. I finally got to see the details, meet the hostages, and live those 2 months from THEIR “inside” perspective. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It felt like it was my story too, just because this happening was something I was a part of, through prayer. One of the most heart touching and spiritually uplifting books I’ve read in a long time, this beautifully written story has changed the way I see life. And it’s one of the most gripping, suspenseful books I’ve read; it’s long, but I read it in 3 days. It’s as easy to read as a fiction story. You won’t be able to put it down!

This is a wonderfully written book! Its very well woven together from the various perspectives of the hostages, mission personnel, parents, and prayer warriors. I listened to the audio book. The narration was very well done and really made it come alive. Highly recommend!

A very interesting book! When I started to read it I could hardly put it down until I had read it through! This is the best book I have ever read! I think why it was so interesting was because it happened so recently not a hundred years ago! Also the trust in God the captives had was a big faith builder for me! Praise God that this story could come out and effect the lives of many more! I highly recommend this book, if you are on the fence about buying don’t wait any longer!
